Your Role
As part of our South Central Regional Design Technology team, you are focused on researching, promoting, elevating, and strategically implementing our practice platforms . A critical, multifaceted role that provides technical leadership, strategic value, and deep tactical expertise in design technology and digital project delivery space.
Reporting directly to the Regional Design Technology Director, you will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization, and digital platforms implementation in partnership / collaboration with your peers in the design technology community. In partnership with the South Central Regional Design Technology leadership you will determine the strategy and roadmap for advancement of our regional digital design practices. We are seeking an experienced design professional with a deep knowledge of the design and construction process, as well as a curiosity for innovation to join our regional team. Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor in delivering the highest value and best outcomes to our clients.
What You Will Do
Drive digital as a differentiator to our projects, teams, and clientsSubject Matter Expert on Agile Digital Project Delivery to Project TeamsSupport digital implementation on projects from early stage pursuits through deliveryDevelop, implement, and support of tools, templates and workflowsReduce digital waste by implementing interoperability tools and workflowsTransform smart-digital data-driven ideas into reality implemented on projectsChampion digital transformation and cultural change throughout the regionCollaborate with regional Design Technology leaders on requirements and prioritiesParticipate in establishing and driving the Design Technology roadmap for the regionLead cultural, process-driven and technical training in Design TechnologyResearch emerging technologies and define use-case for implementation on projectsRepresent our firm through speaking engagements, hackathons an industry eventsLead software development for plug-ins and utilities with software development teamPartner with Design Leadership and practitioners throughout the firm
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in AEC/O spaceStrong command of the Design Delivery process to fabrication / constructionDocumented progressive growth and experience in leading / supporting Design Technology and innovative framework / workflows in project deliveryArticulate communicator with strong storytelling ability to push new innovative concepts and ideas in a highly creative cultureEntrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and constantly seeks new engagement opportunitiesStrong interpersonal shifts with ability to listen and drive consensus through relationship building and ability to win the trust of teammates and project teamsExpert in design authoring technology platforms in areas of implementation, practice and development for Autodesk, Revit, Rhino, Sketch-up and NavisworksExpert in implementing and supporting design collaboration platforms such as design authoring tools in a virtual environment, Panzura collaboration, AEC cloud-based products (BIM 360 Design, Docs, Coordinate and Build as well as New Forma)Familiarity with Performance Design applications and analysis tools such as Insight 360, FenestraPro, Ladybug, etc.Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and technological support to project teamsFamiliarity with 3d-printing and other physical model creation technologiesHighly desired understanding of and experience in computation/generative design platforms and visual programming such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, etc.Highly desired interoperability integration with visualization pipeline and VR/AR hardware and software including VRay, 3DS Max and EnscapeHighly desired ability to leverage data processing and visualization tools like PowerBIReliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrityAbility to exercise judgement and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demandsThis is not a remote position.
