The Media and Content Coordinator will support the Center Theatre Group Media and Content team in their efforts to drive engagement, retention, and awareness for the organization. They will provide general assistance, coordination, scheduling, and organization for the department, which oversees communications, publicity, editorial, social media, and content creation. They will be responsible for helping keep projects on track, helping generate story and content ideas, editing and proofreading internal and external content. Strong writing/editing skills required. Basic video editing, HTML, and graphic skills a plus.Primary Responsibilities

Assist in managing the Media and Content department editorial calendar and keep projects on schedule, liaising with staff members across the company regarding assets and timelines.Assist in the writing, editing, proofreading, and gathering of content for all publications (print/digital) including, but not limited to, Performances Magazine (the program that is distributed at all of our theatres), monthly newsletter, Center Theatre Group’s blog, e-blasts, marketing materials, social media posts, and various cross-departmental projects.Update the Center Theatre Group interactive program with new content.Assist with additional copywriting, proofing, and updating copy as needed.Learn basic functionality of Tessitura, our ticketing system; book tickets for press, media outlets, publicists, and celebrities.Curate, prep, and schedule opening night talent and press invites; maintain current and active press and talent database.Organize press breaks to send to stakeholders; compile press clippings; assist with proofing of public relations collateral.Write and edit regular internal communications eblasts to Staff company wide.Coordinate project management software workflow.Work as a liaison with departments across the company, including Education, Institutional Advancement, and Marketing to ensure their communications needs are being met.Assist with all phases of production (pre through post), including equipment set-up, on video and photo shoots.Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and access as well as a commitment to an anti-racist wok environment.Secondary Responsibilities

Maintain Style Guide; ensure that all printed materials are accurate and clear, and adhere to Center Theatre Group style, including but not limited to letters, proposals, invitations, mailing lists, reports, etc.Evidence of good work habits including but not limited to being on time, following Center Theatre Group workplace policies, arriving prepared for meetings and events, being responsive and following through on all supervisor and staff requests.Working occasional evenings and weekends to assist with Opening Night activities and events; assist with Opening Night shoots; create Opening Night face sheets, memos, and name plates.Monitor social media channels for comments and engagement; keep social media content organized across devices and platforms.Keep Production History database up to date; help maintain Digital Asset Management and archival needs.Complete other duties as assigned.Center Theatre Group provides a dynamic working environment in which duties and responsibilities may change. Employees are expected to be flexible and responsive to changes in the scope of their duties.Qualifications

Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a real-time medium.Must have a strong command of the English language: speaking, writing, grammar, spelling, proofreading skills, etc. And ability to adhere to in-house style guides and close attention to detail.Must be extremely well organized, understand the importance of following through on projects, and have the ability to work with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentMust be capable of handling a variety of day-to-day tasks concurrently.Must have the ability to interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels within the organization, as well as with the media, artists, vendors and the publicAbility to maintain confidentiality.Ability to work evening and weekends as needed.Ability to sit, type and work at a computer for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, carry 30lbs.Willingness and ability to work 40 hours per week.
