Full Stack UI Developer

We are currently looking for a Full Stack UI Developer to join one of the group's specialist divisions. This division partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, to work on the critical issues of our time, including the climate emergency, national security, social justice, conflict prevention, and sustainable development. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards conflict affected or developing countries.
This role is based out of our New York office. This role could be hybrid or remote. We can only accept applicants with the right to work in the United States.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces for complex ML modelsImplement robust security measures, including 2FA, for client-facing applicationsCollaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand and visualize complex data setsEstablish and enforce UI best practices and coding standardsWork within an AWS ecosystem, leveraging cloud services for scalable applicationsDevelop and maintain Python-based back-end servicesEnsure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalabilityParticipate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentationIntegrate Okta for secure 2FA implementation in client-facing applicationsAbout You:
Essential:4-5 years of experience in full stack developmentStrong proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)Proven experience working with AWS PostgreSQL RDS, including database design, optimization, and managementExperience with AWS services and cloud architectureSolid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)Familiarity with machine learning concepts and data visualization techniquesExperience implementing security best practices, including 2FAStrong understanding of RESTful API design and implementationDesirable:
Experience working with data science teams and ML modelsKnowledge of UI/UX design principlesExperience with other AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and S3Familiarity with Agile development methodologiesTechnical Skills:
Languages: Python, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3Frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js (at least one required)Backend: Django or FlaskDatabase: AWS PostgreSQL RDS, experience with other RDS offerings is a plusCloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway)Authentication: Okta, understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID ConnectVersion Control: GitCI/CD: Experience with AWS CodePipeline or similar tools
