Senior Full Stack UI Developer

We are currently looking for a Senior Full Stack UI Developer to join one of the group's specialist divisions. This division partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, to work on the critical issues of our time, including the climate emergency, national security, social justice, conflict prevention, and sustainable development. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards conflict affected or developing countries.
This role is based out of our New York office. This role could also be hybrid or remote. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces for complex ML modelsImplement robust security measures, including 2FA, for client-facing applicationsCollaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand and visualize complex data setsOversee the work of more junior UI developersEstablish and enforce UI best practices and coding standardsWork within an AWS ecosystem, leveraging cloud services for scalable applicationsDevelop and maintain Python-based back-end servicesEnsure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalabilityDrive code reviews and contribute to technical documentationIntegrate Okta for secure 2FA implementation in client-facing applicationsAbout You:
Essential:5-7 years of experience in full stack developmentExcellent proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)Significant experience working with AWS PostgreSQL RDS, including database design, optimization, and managementSignificant experience with AWS services and cloud architectureStrong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)Expertise in machine learning concepts and data visualization techniquesStrong experience implementing security best practices, including 2FAStrong understanding of RESTful API design and implementationDesirable:
Strong experience working with data science teams and ML modelsRobust knowledge of UI/UX design principlesStrong experience with other AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and S3Solid familiarity with Agile development methodologiesTechnical Skills:
Languages: Python, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3Frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js (at least one required)Backend: Django or FlaskDatabase: AWS PostgreSQL RDS, experience with other RDS offerings is a plusCloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway)Authentication: Okta, understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID ConnectVersion Control: GitCI/CD: Experience with AWS CodePipeline or similar tools
