Job Summary:
Ruggable is looking for two (2) Contract Textile Designers who are experienced and self-motivated to join our Textile Design Team. This role needs a creative and highly detail-oriented individual who is excellent at time management, fluent in Photoshop, and has a passion for rugs/interior design. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Adobe Photoshop, familiar with Illustrator, show strong drawing/fine art skills, and be excited about textile design and staying on top of home décor trends.
What You'll Do:Create up-to-date textile designs that are relevant and trend-setting while upholding the aesthetic of the Ruggable brandWork with a talented team of designers and creative leaders, contributing to discussions on design iterationsPrioritize tasks and meet deadlines; assist with team projectsMake cohesive and clean files and share them according to specificationsUse your strong communication skills to: listen, ask relevant questions and take action effectivelyWhat You'll Need to Have:

Excellent Photoshop and technical design skills including but not limited to: clean working techniques, file organization and file managementA desire to see your team succeed and be a key contributor to that success through teamwork, collaboration and hard workStrong communication skills and sense of professionalism with the ability to use discretion and be self-reflectiveAbility to learn quickly and demonstrate an understanding of what creative leaders are looking for in reviewsPreferred:
A strong interest or aptitude in-home/interior design textiles, specifically rug/carpet designA portfolio of traditional, Persian, or ornate rug or textile patterns/designsSkills in other design programs, especially textile specific programs (Fresco, Procreate, etc.)Details:
$35/hour25-35 hours per weekHours are flexible, but there will be semi-flexible, 1 hour meetings most days between 9-5pm PST1-2x per week these meetings will be in person at our office in Torrance, CA
