Design marketing materials for both print and digital applications, from concept development to design and layout, for website graphics, landing pages, emails, brochures, ads, newsletters, exhibits, signage, and other materials.
Essential Functions
Maintain digital art, photography, and project files to support the operation of the department.Possess positive verbal skills for creative presentations as needed.Exercise strong organizational skills and have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Support a team-oriented, upbeat environment by actively participating in creative meetings and brainstorming sessions.Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in handling changing priorities.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design or related program.One year of experience as a graphic designer.Must have a strong aptitude in both the aesthetic and functional aspects of design, including typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Macintosh Operating System, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).Strong knowledge/experience of file prep, print production, and associated finishing operations.Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship.Preferred Requirements
Experience working in an in-house creative/marketing services groupExperience in web design, new media, and HTML

Hours: Monday – Friday, 38.75 hours per week
Hybrid position working a mix of remotely and on Chicago campus
Limited travel is expected for this position.
