JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State Alumni Association is seeking a talented and experienced multimedia designer. This part-timeposition will be situated within the Marketing and Operations unit at the alumni association and will involve providing designs to support the alumni association's mission of connecting alumni to the University and to each other, provide valued services to members, and support the University's mission of teaching, research, and service.

Responsibilities include:

Work within project teams to understand marketing goals and audience needs and translate requirements into effective design solutions.

Conceptualize, develop, and produce design solutions that meet project goals across a range of platforms including websites, social media, email, digital banner ads, presentations, and print channels.

Provide updates to existing visual designs including resizing graphics for use on new platforms.

Understand University and Penn State Alumni Association brand standards and adhere to and reinforce standards within design work to ensure brand consistency.

Coordinate design reviews and respond to feedback throughout the review process while maintaining best practices.

Qualified candidates will be creative professionals with the ability to succeed on cross-functional, fast-paced teams with multiple deadlines, stakeholders and complexity. A Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in multimedia design or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required in addition to demonstrableexperience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Candidates should provide a link to a digital portfolio for review as part of their application.
