Cyber Content Strategist

Social Media Manager

to manage social media accounts for a cybersecurity focused organization. In this role, you will lead social media activities including strategy, planning, content development and daily management of Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads and other platforms, increasing engagement with diverse audiences, and mitigating risk through planning and policy adherence.

This is hybrid role with one day a month onsite in Arlington, VA required.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide guidance to internal teams and clients on digital strategy and implementation, including planning and consult.

Manage the social media accounts used to convey technical cybersecurity messaging and mitigation guidance.

Plan monthly calendars for messaging and coordinate with the appropriate teams for input, graphics, and approvals.

Build a dynamic social media presence and personality for a cybersecurity focused organization that 1) engages the operational community, and 2) broadens the dissemination of their products.

Conceptualize, coordinate, and prepare client-ready content for social media including images and videos in coordination with Creative Services that meet both company and client standards and needs, develop content for social media campaigns, and prepare ad hoc posts and digital ads through tools such as Canva, Adobe , metrics reporting and analysis. .

Required Qualifications:

US Citizen with active high-level clearance (required by government contract)

BS or BA degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism or related field.

8+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of best practices for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X platforms

Proficiency with social media measurement and management platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite).

Proficiency with social media design cloud tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark).

Superior verbal, written, analytical and presentation communication skills and personal interaction skills.

Experience in serving as the main point of contact for social media for internal and external clients.

Experience organizing, promoting, and directing social media events (e.g., Facebook Live events or X chats).

Experience communicating about complex scientific or technology findings and engaging with diverse audiences preferred.

Experience working in IT Communications

Experience conducting news media outreach and reporting (e.g., via Cision, Meltwater, and/or social media) is a plus but not required.

Pay Range

- There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$87,069.00 - $148,017.00
