Summary

The Student Media Designer is in charge of the overall layout and designers for The Xavierite publication. The Student Media Designer will also oversee the design of any advertising or promotional material that will be used by the department. It is preferred that any student in this position be a student who is majoring in Art or Graphic Design.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee the design and look of The Xavierite student publication.Ensures that the entire paper and magazine follows the specific Xavierite student created style guideEnsures that the entire paper follows traditional design structuresAssist section editors from both publications when neededHas experience utilizing the Adobe Cloud Suite, specifically: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.Designs advertisements and promotional material when necessaryAttend staff meetingMaintain weekly-posted office hours in The Xavierite office (4 hours per week).Qualifications

MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY

FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIREDBackground in Art and Graphic Design preferred.Additional Expectations
