General Purpose

Performs advanced work in visual design and videography using Adobe Creative Suite software to support Village communication campaigns in the Communications Division.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Designs print and digital campaigns that align with ongoing communication campaigns using Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom and Audition) software.Creates engaging motion graphics and animations for various media channels, including social media, websites, presentations and email marketing.Collaborates with team members to conceptualize and execute video content that aligns with the Village's branding and communication goals.Utilizes photography and videography skills to capture and produce visual content for events and promotional material.Performs video pre-production, production, and post-production tasks. Edit footage and incorporate graphics, sound, and special effects to produce high-quality content.Stays updated with the latest design trends and techniques to continually enhance the quality of work.Develops content specifically for social media platforms, ensuring it is optimized for engagement and visibility.Provides inspiration and feedback to maintain a creative culture within the Communications Division.Proposes workshops and seminars for continued education in visual design field. Attends Adobe Max Conference biennially.Supports various departments, including Pinecrest Gardens, Parks and Recreation, and the Police Department, by producing tailored content for their specific needs.Attends some events during evenings and weekends, particularly in the fall and spring, to document and create content in real-time.Performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:Associate degree from an accredited college (Bachelor's degree preferred) in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or a related field such as audio-visual design, TV and Film, Journalism or Mass Communications and four (4) years of relevant experience in motion graphics and video editing or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the technical ability to start and finish projects on Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom and Audition). Strong knowledge of photography, videography, and social media strategies. Must submit a portfolio that showcases previous work in motion graphics, video editing, and related projects.Additional Qualifications:

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Mastery knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.General knowledge in Lightroom and Audition.Passion for design and video production.Solid understanding of photography, videography, and social media. Must have a high level of creativity and the ability to think analytically.Must have a working knowledge of marketing and graphic design concepts, practices and procedures.Must be highly organized and detailed oriented.Must have working knowledge of event coordination process.Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Outlook.Must have considerable knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.Must have own transportation to attend assignments.Must maintain high ethical, honesty and moral standards.Must be fluent in the English language. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.Must be a non-smoker.Applicants must complete all requirements established by the Village of Pinecrest for employment.
