Job Summary:
As a Senior Unity Artist, you will play a crucial role in designing and creating UI and animations in Unity for the WIN Reality VR app. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless, interactive, and visually appealing user experiences. Your expertise in Unity, strong sense of interactive design, and solid artistic skills will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and integrate dynamic 2D UI elements (models, textures, animations, etc) in Unity for our VR app.Collaborate with product design and developers to create cohesive and engaging user experiences.Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented art assets (Figma).Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to art assets and animations.Contribute to the development and refinement of design workflows and best practices.Work with Engineering to establish best practices for scalable art integration within UnityDesign/Technical Skills:
Strong sense of what makes an interactive medium engaging and enjoyable.Thorough understanding of 2D UI principles and graphic designA passion for delighting customers with accessible and efficient UI/UXAbility to leverage a design system to create experiences that reflect the brand vision and identity.Extensive experience delivering interfaces built with Unity's UI and animation systemsDrives best practices around performant UI developmentStrong understanding of how the design principles of UI layout translates to Unity's UI systemAppreciation for scene/object/prefab hierarchy and composition that affords intuitive integration while minimizing the potential for merge conflicts in a team environmentComfortable authoring Merge Requests (or Pull Requests) and working through merge conflicts when necessaryPrevious Experience:
5+ years of professional experience in creating, implementing, and integrating production ready art assets for interactive media or a strong portfolio with playable examples.Successfully shipped at least one Unity-based title or product in a UI Artist role.Working knowledge of version control systems, such as Git+LFS, Perforce, or PlasticSCM.Deeply familiar with a 2D art stack (e.g., Photoshop, Substance Painter).Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of baseball/sports rules and expectations. Love of the sport is a plus!Experience with VR development and optimization, working directly with engineeringExpert level user of Figma, Git, Photoshop, & UnityProficient in 3D modeling and animation tools (e.g., Blender, Maya).WIN Reality VR Development Stack:
