JOB SUMMARY:The

Associate Director of Brand Marketing

will lead and support the day-to-day marketing efforts including assimilating the overall marketing planning and production, project management and marketing flow, design creation, planning, review cycle with internal department and external departments and final presentation.This role, under the supervision of the Senior Director, Brand and Digital Marketing is responsible for ensuring that all work within the communications department flows efficiently and with accuracy between the function areas of writing, PR, social media, and marketing and production – along with any internal/external departments or partners.Additionally, this role supervises the marketing project managers who in turn ensure the steady flow of projects pertaining to other internal AFSP departments and chapters, and external audiences.RESPONSIBILITIES:Works with every level and function of the Communications team to assimilate overall marketing needs and then collaborate on monthly activities and planning, campaigns and activations, strategic plan prioritiesComes with an understanding of how messaging, public relations, social media, storytelling, and marketing come together holistically to support initiatives across the department and organization at largeTracks and disseminate information in real time while keeping project information organized, on-time and up-to-date for department projects and chapter-based projectsDelegates tasks to appropriate team members based on an understanding of team roles and project plansSchedules and oversees departmental meetings and brainstorms and works with team to capture detailed notes and next steps or deliverablesMeets regularly with team members to understand current workstreams and opportunities for greater team cohesion, consistency in quality, timeliness of delivery and comprehensive communications deliverablesMaintains relationships with other departments, external agencies and marketing partnersServes as the expert on tools used for project management and provides advice when opportunities for improvement arise; oversees project timelines, and project deliveryDevelops Microsoft PowerPoint decks for both project pitching, buy-in from other AFSP department areas and external partners and relaying project results for key moments internally and externally (i.e. board meetings, staff meetings, key activations and others)Ensures that all steps in the communications and marketing project process are planned, performed, and completed on time and delivered as comprehensive strategies/plan when possibleLeads the design and distribution of the mass email campaigns, including organization statements and monthly organizations newsletters to AFSP constituents.Organizes and maintains files via Microsoft SharePointLeads the operations of internal and external digital storefronts, including sourcing and stock maintenanceNote:An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Bachelor’s Degree in the communications, marketing or design preferredExperience and/or Training

6-8 years’ experience in design, marketing and/or project development and management (may include internships).Licenses/Certificates

Project management certifications preferred.Technology/Equipment

A working knowledge of project management tools, and design programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or equivalent programs. Knowledge of Microsoft product suite or equivalent. Familiarity with Monday.com project management system and online content management systems a plus.
