Corporate Communications Manager

News Corp is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to help coordinate and execute internal and external

communications for one of the world’s leading media and information companies. As a member of the

Communications team at News Corp Headquarters (HQ), the Corporate Communications Manager will develop,

coordinate and execute communications that serve external and internal audiences.

Organized, self-motivated, technology-savvy, the Manager will work on a range of communications projects for the

Company with colleagues across a global business. The ideal candidate will be a positive, trusted partner and brand

ambassador who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can make and maintain connections with relevant people

across the global organization and with external media. This position reports to the Company’s Senior Director of

Corporate Communications.

External Communications Responsibilities:

● Research and write news releases; distribute via appropriate corporate channels, including newswires, corporate

website, internal distribution lists.

● Monitor media mailbox and process incoming media inquiries.

● Engage in research to gather articles and other information for use in briefing memoranda, speeches, op-eds and

other communications.

● Work closely with News Corp HQ cross-functional stakeholders and Business Unit communications teams to create

and maintain a schedule of public events and announcements.

● Liaise with communications teams across global Business Units to ensure timely information sharing and appropriate

approvals for key announcements, press releases, campaigns launches and more.

● Help maintain content and operation of News Corp’s external website.

● Create and maintain media mailing lists.

● Participate in “rapid response” review of news coverage about News Corp quarterly earnings and other

announcements to ensure accuracy of reporting.

Monitor social media and other news sources for developments of interest to HQ stakeholders and create reports to

brief HQ executives and stakeholders.

Internal Communications Responsibilities:

● Partner with corporate functions such as HR, Technology and Legal to develop and deliver employee

communications that drive engagement and enhance the employee experience.

● Manage key internal channels, including intranet and newsletters, to ensure employees stay informed.

● Help research, write, edit and publish communications (internal and external) for various Executive Offices, including

emails, articles, speeches, presentations and newsletters.

● Help develop and manage the execution and measurement of internal communications strategy and initiatives.

● Support the Corporate Communications team in producing agendas, managing editorial calendars, and producing

content and events for internal audiences.

Required Skills and Experience:

● BA or equivalent work experience in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Content Marketing

● Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

● Clear and creative thinker with strong ability to multitask and prioritize

● Curious / growth mindset

● Proofreading / copyediting

● Strong attention to detail

● Experience with fields of media and publishing, digital real estate, legal, finance and/or technology a plus

● Ability to interact with media in a discrete, professional manner

● Demonstrated ability to write news releases, briefing memoranda, op-eds, speeches and a variety of internal

communications (including newsletters)

● Ability to collaborate with technologists and translate their work for lay employee and external audiences

● Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS), preferably WordPress, an Email Service Provider (ESP), and

G-Suite

● Ability to create PowerPoint presentations, email templates, etc.

● Social media management experience

● Comfortable with analytics software such as Adobe Analytics/ Omniture or Google Analytics

● Basic understanding of digital publishing technology

Job Category:

Pay Range: 90000 - 115000
