Overview:

This position is responsible for driv ing brand growth by developing innovative strategies and go-to-market plans for the #1 Mascara brand with new launches and cores businesses through executional excellence. In addition, the Marketing Director primary responsibility includes owning and uncovering deep consumer insights to initiate breakthrough communications , data-driven marketing and build strategic priorities . Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, media planning and spend review, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth for this innovative and loved brand.

Job Responsibilities:

New Product Launches :

Ownership and responsibility for supervising entire go to market process and timelines across multiple launches partnering with cross functional teams ( brand activation , social, media, education, etc )

Participate in selling in project s to management at large

Generate long term strategic development

Partner with Revenue Growth Management, Finance, and Brand Activation Lead on new product pricing strategy

Collaborate with Creative on launch materials including displays and merchandising

Strategy & Planning:

Drive the research, analysis, category trends and insights to develop long term strategy

Oversee plan development and create vision for the business , while ensu ring executional excellence

Contribute to total eye category strategy / plans

Partner with global team (DMI) to influence new product development and base business optimization s based on data, portfolio competitive gaps and strong consumer insights

Financial P&L and Forecasting:

Ownership of entire forecasting process

Understand and manage financial implication of forecast

Own accuracy of all budgets and roll up of total category with finance

Manage budget allocation between spending buckets and brands with peers

Promotions/Advertising / Media:

Work intimately with agenc ies and internal partners to create breakthrough consumer communications in all touchpoints, from traditional media to digital data driven activations

Influence media recommendation and direction

Provide US consumer centric feedback to global team during creative campaign development

Team and Meeting Management:

Ensure team development and positive morale

Foster collaboration within the team and with our core partners (DMI, commercial, finance , etc )

Recruit and retain employees

Effectively manage, train and 1 direct report

Recommend organizational structure changes and enhancements

Represent Mascara category in core meetings

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience:

BA degree required .

7+ years of Industry related marketing work experience (consumer package goods or beauty)

Prior experience in Operational Marketing

Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle

Experience working collaboratively with R&D and product development teams on new products or renovations

Competencies/Skills:

Brand Administration: create project plan according to panier portfolio gaps; in-depth knowledge of brand equity and management

Market Research: ability to read and interpret research data

Leadership: Demonstration of leadership with team; support departments and customers

Strong Project Management Skills and attention to detail

PC Proficiency (Microsoft Suite)

Information & Data management

Rigorous quantitative data analysis skills

Prioritization & Organization Skills

Strong Interpersonal Skills (written and oral)

Strong appreciation for our business / sensitivity to product cat

What’s In It For You:

Salary Range: $ 140,100 - $203,200
