The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping the way our organization is perceived by key audiences. You will drive brand awareness by being involved in all stages of the communications process from concept to message development to result-oriented evaluation. The Communications Manager is ideal for those with a passion for nonprofit marketing and communications. This position will be responsible for all social media and communications content and the overall marketing and marketing strategy for the organization.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute an annual cross-channel marketing and communications planWrite, design, and manage all communication materials including monthly newsletter, annual report, and collateral marketing materialUse social media and newsletters to tell our story in creative and inspiring ways that resonate with various audiencesReport on the effectiveness of social media and marketing campaignsManage website content with relevant information to ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularlyManage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leadersQualifications

Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experienceStrong copywriting and content creation skillsExceptional communication skills with internal as well as external audiencesAbility to evaluate needs and develop processes to fill themStrong administrative skills and excellent follow throughA passion for meeting new people, working closely with a team, and working in a collaborative work environmentExperience with technologies including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Wordpress, MailChimp, and social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and FacebookPhotography & videography skills to capture the visual storytelling of our workBilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to applyRequirements

Requires the physical mobility to sit or walk for moderate periods of time and to occasionally carry or lift objects weighing up to 30 poundsMust be able to work some evening and weekend hours as neededMust have a driver's license, reliable source of transportation, and ability to travel to program locations or events as neededBenefits
