work side by side with Designers, Content Strategists, Product Owners, and Researchers to create user experiences that empower people and businesses around the world.

You're the ideal candidate if you're an experienced web writer who is also a design thinker and customer champion. You bring marketing know-how and are comfortable using a variety of tools to get the job done. You're customer-focused and understand how our website fits into a customer's journey. Finding the best way to express a concept in concise, conversational, and relevant language is what drives you. You're just as happy brainstorming big-picture strategy as you are crafting compelling headlines. You're excited to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment that requires self-direction as well as collaboration.

We're a content strategy and copywriting team responsible for updating the product marketing and other pertinent pages. We're highly collaborative and energetic as we juggle multiple projects. We're seeking a team member who has experience writing about payments space for consumers and businesses.

Strong preference for candidates

having worked in payments space / B2B or B2C / Figma Years of Experience: 5+ Degrees or Certifications: Bachelors or equivalent.

Your day to day:

Plan and write content for web and mobile experiences on Venmo.com as part of the redesign of the sitePresent your work and articulate your approach to teammates, product owners, and other stakeholdersCollaborate with Design on page layout, interactions, and visual tone, ensuring we create a consistent end-to-end experienceOptimize copy for SEO, naturally weaving keywords into copyOptimize copy for comprehension, usability, and impact on trustEnsure that your content aligns with legal and compliance requirements, including preparing your work for legal submissionUse data and research to evaluate your content's impact, and push for continuous improvement that shows real resultsMaintain and evolve content standards, including voice and tone.Learn a lot, make an impact, have funWhat you'll need to bring:

2-5 years professional writing experience for web or mobile contentExcellent, highly creative writing and critical-thinking skillsExperience working with content standards, such as style and voice and tone guidelinesAt ease managing multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, working individually and collaborating across teamsExperience writing about financial services, payments, B2B or B2C e-commerce for consumers and/or small businesses is preferredFamiliarity with Figma and basic web production processesBachelor's Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Design, Information Science or related field

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $56.10 to $62.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
