Micron’s Corporate Communications team is seeking a leader for its Workforce & Culture communications. This role will handle a core team passionate about driving internal and external awareness and engagement for Micron’s diversity and inclusion, employee volunteering and corporate philanthropy efforts, which are central to Micron’s values and culture, as well as communications that support the company’s talent retention and acquisition goals.

The Corporate Communications Manager will leverage media and other channels to reach a broad set of audiences, including Micron customers, team members, partners, talent and investors. We are looking for a well-practiced communicator with validated experience crafting coordinated communications plans to collaborate closely with functional leads within the team as well as with those across the broader Global Communications and Marketing functions. Reporting to Micron’s Director of Corporate Communications, the person in this role will be chartered with amplifying Micron’s DEI (Diversity, Equality, Inclusion) commitments, culture and workforce-related initiatives as the company continues to deepen its partnerships in the communities where it operates, deliver on its commitments, and retain and hire the best talent

Role and Responsibilities:

Drive proactive communications strategy, planning, and execution for Micron’s workforce and culture narratives.

Handle disclosures and key moments, coordinated communications for internal collaborators and audiences, as well as business and vertical media strategy and engagement, guiding and using PR agency resources.

Drive cohesive storylines through communications strategy, developing coordinated plans and partnering closely with peers, internal communications, and corporate marketing leads on social, web and events teams.

Lead and drive quarterly communications and marketing planning and strategy reviews with key customers.

Build message maps and content, including press releases and blogs, to actively engage and influence key audiences.

Lead briefing materials: mentor, prep and staff spokespeople as needed for engagements.

Supervise communications measurement efforts across domain areas; identify insights, track metrics, and report on progress against goals on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications and Education:

10+ years of experience working in communications roles in the technology sector.

Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related subject areas.

Strong discernment and a keen understanding of technology and industry trends. Experience in manufacturing a plus.

Proven success in delivering relevant storylines and content aligned with objectives.

Proven track record of leading business, local and trade media programs

Experience handling communications for DEI, employee giving, philanthropic and workforce-related initiatives.

Ability to effectively lead executive engagement.

Excellent analytical, written and verbal business interpersonal skills.

Strong executive presence and comfortable working with senior management.

Team management experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to partner with collaborators and other functions globally in a highly matrixed organization.

Sound problem identification, judgment, resolution, organizational and decision-making skills.

Strong desire and dedication to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with consistency, and steadfastly push self and others to innovate.

Ability to lead shifting priorities with agility and work well under pressure.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$116,000.00 - $252,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
