Coordinator, NIL Partnerships & Operations - Crimson Tide Sports Marketing

Crimson Tide Sports Marketing is looking to add a high impact team member who will focus on navigating the property through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). With the NCAA policy change in July 2021, student-athletes across the country, for the first time ever, can receive payments for NIL. This has provided a new opportunity for brand partners to access influencer marketing with student-athletes in their sponsorship package (i.e. appearances, social media, etc.).

In this role, you will support Crimson Tide Sports Marketing with NIL deal activation for brand partners. The Coordinator - NIL Partnerships & Operations will be asked to manage all inventory elements for NIL activation and provide proof of performance to brand partners. This role will report to the Director for Partnership Services who leads the activation efforts of our LEARFIELD team embedded at the University of Alabama and will work closely with the General Manager. This role will also have key relationships with Crimson Tide Athletic Department staff.

Responsibilities

Oversee all inventory management tracking related to NIL deals, including what has been proposed, sold and remains available, to include weekly reports and internal meeting updatesSupport activation of NIL deals and ensuring student-athletes participate and fulfill activation obligations with brand partners at fair market valueWork closely with property and local brands to understand their marketing needs and develop potential marketing campaigns that can be executed with student-athletesManage sponsorship relationships including their sponsorship activation, collective partner events, sponsorship conversations with student-athletes, and other sponsored NIL eventsAssist with Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, gameday operations, including home football games and other home eventsWork with the University of Alabama Athletics to ensure student-athlete compliance with NIL deals is being monitored, disclosed, and reportedStay informed on NIL news, including student-athlete deals across the country, legislation changes (at State and National levels), and ongoing trends. You will also participate in the LEARFIELD corporate NIL working group to share best practices and successful sales concepts across the LEARFIELD portfolioComplete other sales, fulfillment and operations responsibilities as assigned by Director of Partnership ServicesQualifications

Experience in Sports / NIL / College Athletics and/or sponsorship is a plus, but not requiredBachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business, sports administration, marketing, advertising or other related field; 0-3 years of relevant work experienceMust be able to work 40 hours per week including home games, select sporting events, and NIL appearances and activations that occur outside of traditional work hoursExcellent communication and organizational skillsHigh level of initiative, specifically in the areas of sales generation and process improvementStrong focus on quality of work and attention to detailAble to lead and motivate othersResults-driven; willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish the goalAble to develop and maintain strong relationships across many demographicsStrong aptitude for learning; highly curiousDesire to build a long-term career in sports marketingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
