Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Interaction Designer to join their dynamic and close-knit UX team. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of mobile technology by creating groundbreaking user experiences that seamlessly bridge hardware and Android software across various devices. The ideal candidate is a strong hybrid interaction and visual designer with a passion for crafting intuitive, smart, and reliable user experiences. This role requires a deep commitment to user-centered design principles and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including UX designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers, to deliver cutting-edge products that resonate with users worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:Lead UX Design Process:
Independently drive all stages of the UX design process, from conceptualization to execution, for user interfaces on mobile phones and tablets. Create innovative designs, prototypes, and specifications that define the user experience for hardware and Android software.Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with product management, engineering, and partner teams to deliver a cohesive and delightful user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Android, Nest, and Assistant partners, to develop new solutions and frameworks that enhance the ecosystem.Design and Innovation:
Produce high-quality interaction and visual designs that push the boundaries of smartphone and tablet experiences. Leverage and evolve design language to build beautiful, inspired products that users love.Global Teamwork:
Ability to work effectively across time zones with a global team, managing collaboration asynchronously and within a highly technical environment. Understand technical requirements and limitations to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.Proven experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, researchers, engineers, content strategists, and product managers, throughout the design process.A portfolio that highlights multiple projects demonstrating expertise in crafting digital interfaces and designing consumer-focused app/mobile products.Strong strategic and critical thinking skills.Hybrid design skills, including interaction, visual, prototyping, systems design, and motion.Compelling design portfolio featuring mobile work and consumer-facing projects.Excellent attention to detail, with strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.Ability to lead design discussions with work partners.Experience designing across multiple platforms and form factors, including Android phones and tablets.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet critical project deadlines.Willingness to make your primary phone an Android device if not already using one.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $66.09 to $73.43 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
