Job Summary & Requirements

Job Summary:

Position is responsible for completing some stages of imposing jobs for appropriate press under a tight timeframe, outputting digital files, checking work, making plates and/or supporting the pressroom.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Performs other related duties as assigned.Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.Maintains clean work area.Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.Enters and tracks jobs through the department using AS400 and Graphics database.Reviews and pre-flights new art for accuracy and in accordance to internal pre-press guidelines.Coordinates with Customer Service on new art approvals and any changes to existing art files.Creates new files or makes changes per customer specifications.Provides proofs for customer approval.Ensures files are ready for plating by checking colors, trapping, stepping, gap, gripper space allowed, etc.Makes and/or QC’s appropriate plates for press.Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
