The ideal individual will have 5+ years of experience and be a self-starter with strong project architect skills. Professionals with experience in highly technical projects and a strong interest in healthcare are welcome to apply.RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.Develops creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.Coordinates drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.Analyzes product research and identifies material selections.Takes an active role in crafting client and non-client design presentations and prepares corresponding materials.Implements a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way.Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.Supports the growth of others.Expresses curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.Takes increasing ownership of tasks within project teams and studio activities.Participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.Keeps open and proactive communication with all and is inspiring within team and designated team leader.Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline required5-8 years of experience including exposure to healthcare projectsLEED GA within 6 months of hireHealthcare experienceProfessional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future AccreditationPreparing for ARE and active involvement in AXPProficiencies in BIM, building codes, site analysis, preliminary design studies, contract documents, field measurements, life safety requirements, specifications, graphic storytelling, and sketchingKnowledge of construction contract administrationSOFTWAREAdvanced knowledge of 2D/3D production softwareAdvanced RevitConceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and GrasshopperMicrosoft Office / Adobe SuiteVisualization tools such as Enscape and VRayPhysical modeling tools such as 3D Printing and Laser cuttingPresentation tools such as InDesign and PhotoshopEnvironmental Analysis software such as Ladybug and Climate StudioAt Perkins&Will, we foster a culture that is diverse and inclusive and strive for pay practices that are fair, competitive and reflect our commitment to pay equity.
