For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.Responsible for leading all phases of the design process with a high level of proficiency and expertise while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.Initiates and creates schematic designs that optimize design solutions and plans with responsibility for presentation drawings, models, and narratives.Promotes and manages overall project goals and constraints, including client values, construction and design budget limitations, and schedule requirements.Evaluates design alternatives based on site and code requirements.Expertly applies knowledge of building technology, building materials, construction methods, costs, and code to the design process.Identifies and responds to technical implications and design decisions.Prepares client presentation packages, external publications, and award submissions.Plays essential role in marketing opportunities and develops successful client relationships for continuing business.Uses graphic storytelling to advance the project delivery and scope.Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.Leads collaborative teams in internal design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups and external community engagements.Demonstrates strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance and design ideas.Mentors staff.Accountable for effective coordination with partners and consultants throughout the schematic and design development phases.ProficienciesBIMBuilding codesSite analysisPreliminary design studiesContract documentsField measurementsLife safety requirementsSpecificationsConstruction contract administrationGraphic storytellingSketchingSoftwareAdvanced knowledge of 2D/3D production softwareAdvanced RevitConceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and GrasshopperMicrosoft Office / Adobe SuiteVisualization tools such as Enscape and VRayPhysical modeling tools such as 3D Printing and Laser cuttingPresentation tools such as InDesign and PhotoshopEnvironmental Analysis software such as Ladybug and Climate StudioLicensure/Certifications/EducationLEED GA within 6 months of hireProfessional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future AccreditationArchitectural license (preferred)Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline requiredTypical Years of Requisite Experience:
