It's all possible with a leadership team committed to hiring talented people and helping them develop their careers.Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Public Relations who will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, implementing, directing, and evaluating Redwood Credit Union’s Marketing, Communications & PR strategies and efforts, to assist the organization in achieving company goals. This forward-thinking leader will bring an innovative and goal-oriented approach to the development and execution of projects and initiatives and facilitate a comprehensive and positive experience for the business, team members and Members.Essential FunctionsExecutive Leadership• Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team providing leadership and direction for the Credit Union.• Plan, develop, implement, and monitor budgets, plans, policies, procedures, and short- and long-term strategies for areas of responsibility including market data analytics, marketing and advertising programs, external Member communications, public relations, social media, and marketing research programs.• Develop and maintain organization’s image and brand via effective marketing, product placement and presentment, Member communications, public relations, and social media programs.• Serve on and/or direct a variety of committees to ensure effective interface of all key areas of responsibility with other areas of the organization and to ensure policies, programs, objectives, and goals are effectively communicated.• Attend and actively participate in Board of Directors meetings, Senior Leadership meetings, ALCO meetings, Board and SLT strategic planning sessions, Human Resource Committee, etc.• Manage Public Relations and act as primary spokesperson where appropriate and manage contacts for all media/press inquiries.• Represent Redwood Credit Union to outside entities such as Members, community leaders, members of the press, politicians, examiners, auditors, vendors, and others.Planning• Develop and implement plans and policies to attain goals and objectives, measure progress, and implement adjustments as appropriate.• Develop and regularly evaluate procedures and programs and ensure effective implementation and communication.• Play an integral role in the development of annual projects and budget to support marketing, technology and communications and PR efforts.• Continually assess the competitiveness of programs, processes and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets to ensure use of best practices.Program Management• Continually monitor and assess the competitiveness of all products and services against relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.• Establish and maintain credibility throughout organization to execute and provide effective leadership over key areas of responsibility.• Ensure areas of responsibility comply with Credit Union, State and Federal law and regulations.• Provide leadership for direct reports and department. Recruit, select, train, motivate, mentor, evaluate, and develop direct reports.Minimum Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge and demonstrated skills in marketing, marketing technology, digital channels, communications, public relations, and social media.Excellent detail, organizational, multi-tasking, facilitation, influence, and prioritization skills.Excellent communication (written and oral), public speaking and crisis management skills.Knowledge of a variety of media and digital delivery channel and product positioning strategies, efforts, and methods.Deep experience encouraging collaboration between cross-functional teams to deliver effective and efficient solutions to business lines.Current knowledge of Federal and State marketing related laws, rules, and regulations.Solid knowledge of the financial services industry, trends, and resources.Track record of success analyzing people processes, data and trends to make recommendations to business units and Senior Leadership to drive continuous improvement.Current knowledge of national and local economic trends and conditions.Strong knowledge of online/internet/web and social media and network practices and techniques.Knowledge of data processing, databases, Marketing Customer Information Files (MCIFs), target marketing, social media and internet/web capabilities and practices.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people including Members, team members, officials/directors, community leaders and groups, politicians, regulators, attorneys, vendors, and other individuals and groups.The ideal candidate has combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree (master’s preferred) in marketing, business administration, or closely related field, plus a minimum of fifteen years of experience with digital channel and product development, data and program analysis, member/customer experience, marketing and public relations experience, with demonstrated writing and communication abilities and at least five years of experience at an executive management level.Compensation: Base starting range: $235,000 to $310,000 annually, commensurate with experience.Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
