The package includes major medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage in addition to long-term disability, accident, and life insurance, and retirement plans.Starting PayThe minimum starting salary for a professional Scouter in a beginning leadership position is $48,000, plus a $650 monthly auto stipend ($7,800) and a $100 monthly phone stipend ($1,200).Annual salary adjustments are based on an individual’s merit contributions and overall performance.TrainingAnnual professional training opportunities are provided, as well as constant on the job training and monthly staff meeting trainings.Qualifications for EmploymentDo you have the background needed for a career as a Scouting professional? Our self-starting leaders are frequently called upon to multi-task and combine many skills to get the job done. The basic qualifications are:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityUnited States citizenship or declared intention to become a U.S. citizenAdult – 21 years of agePeople-oriented, having the ability to work well with adult volunteers, community and business leaders, and representatives of other organizationsAble to work varied hours when necessary to achieve positive objectives / willing to work evenings and 1 – 2 weekends per monthWilling to relocate within the 24 counties of the Circle Ten Council – must live in or near the geographical territory that you serveProficient in Microsoft OfficeBelieve in the BSA mission and vision and willing to subscribe to its principles and standardsEligible to receive a professional Scouting commission – a criminal background will be performedBilingual skills are a plus!A Day in the Life of a District ExecutiveThe responsibilities are as broad as the tasks are varied and no two days are the same for a typical District Executive.No matter where they work, in the city, the suburbs, or the country side, one thing is for certain- this is anything but an “office” job.Our field staff are typically found in the community, not behind a desk.The job of the professional Scouter is to recruit, train, and motivate the BSA’s adult volunteers and to support and grow local Scouting units.In addition, they work with community leaders to rally public support for the Scouting programs.Professional Scouting responsibilities are cyclical and depending on the time of the year will determine the priorities and key tasks.Locations : Multiple locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth areaInterested candidates, please send resume to:Jordan Ray, Director of Talent ManagementCircle Ten Council, B.S.A8605 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas, TX 75235Jordan.Ray@scouting.org
