Illuminate USA, a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, is building one of the largest solar panel manufacturing factories in the Western Hemisphere. This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus, Ohio area. Illuminate USA is seeking highly motivated team members to help the company grow from startup to a full-scale, industry-leading manufacturer with $1B - $2B expected annual revenue and over 1,200 employees in less than two years.

Reporting to the CHRO, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing innovative communication initiatives that support our business objectives and foster associate engagement. You'll oversee content creation for various internal channels and ensure the seamless delivery of messages across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with HR, Administration, and cross-functional teams to design programs that boost employee satisfaction and belonging. Your expertise will be pivotal in building and managing our intranet, addressing the unique communication needs of a disconnected workforce, and staying ahead of industry trends to implement cutting-edge communication tools and practices. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for driving impactful communication strategies, we want to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesBuild and implement a forward-thinking communication strategy that supports the organization's business objectives, fosters associate engagement, and enhances overall company culture.Lead all corporate communications and content for various channels – including All Hands meetings, weekly Q&As, and internal communications from our C-suite.Build, nurture, coach, and motivate a team of communicators and internal brand-building specialists.Identify and expand communications tools and systems for maximum impact and utility, including nurturing the future development of our company intranet.Partner with leadership to ensure buy-in on the strategy and excellence in execution.Collaborate with HR & Administration to design and execute programs that drive associate engagement, satisfaction, and a sense of belonging within the organization.Establish metrics and feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and tactics.Stay current with best practices, emerging trends, and technologies in communication to recommend and implement innovative tools and approaches.Develop and execute marketing communications strategies that align with internal communications, enhancing brand consistency and ensuring cohesive messaging.Coordinate with the marketing team to integrate internal and external messaging.Create and manage content for marketing collateral, including newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.Plan and execute trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events, ensuring consistent and effective communication.QualificationsAt least 7-10 years of experience in communications, preferably within manufacturing, retail, distribution, or larger hourly population workforce environments.Proven ability to lead and manage a team of communicators and internal brand specialists.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to craft and deliver messages across various channels including All Hands meetings, weekly Q&As, and C-suite communications.Experience in building and managing intranet sites in partnership with IT/HRIS.Highly agile and adaptive, able to pivot and remain responsive in a fast-paced environment.Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner with leadership teams and cross-functional groups.Demonstrated ability to design and execute programs that drive associate engagement, satisfaction, and a sense of belonging.Experience in marketing communications, with a solid understanding of brand management and the ability to integrate internal and external messaging.Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.Proven experience in planning and executing trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and campaigns simultaneously.Illuminate USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
