In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while supporting the US Courts OSCAR program. We are seeking a meticulous and creative Desktop Publishing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, formatting, and designing various print and digital materials. This role requires proficiency in desktop publishing software, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments to ensure high-quality output.ResponsibilitiesCreate and design layouts for a variety of materials including brochures, newsletters, reports, presentations, and digital content.Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel across all materials.Format text and images for print and digital media.Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and clarity.Utilize desktop publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Publisher to create and edit documents.Stay updated with the latest software and technology trends in desktop publishing.Work closely with writers, graphic designers, and marketing teams to produce high-quality materials.Collaborate with clients or internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.Conduct final reviews and make necessary adjustments to ensure the highest quality of output.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.Provide technical support for desktop publishing software and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Train team members on best practices and new features of desktop publishing software.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in graphic design, Communications, Publishing, or a related field.2-3 years of experience in desktop publishing, graphic design, or a related field.Required SkillsProficiency in desktop publishing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Publisher).Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and design principles.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Desired SkillsExperience in web design and HTML/CSS.Knowledge of print production processes.Familiarity with video editing software.Security ClearanceEligible to obtain a government Clearance.
