This commercial finance role is focused on maximizing the return of Expedia Group’s travel audience. The individual in this position provides decision support and owns forward-looking revenue projections, business analysis, and ad hoc reporting.As part of the MeSo Commercial Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Finance Manager and will serve as a critical business partner to leaders across the MeSo organization, including Sales, Strategy, and Product. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, has experience leading projects with tight timelines, possesses a keen attention to detail, and is able to interpret and present data in a visually compelling format to financial and non-financial audiences.The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing and managing the reporting and analytical tools necessary to support MeSo. This includes leading initiatives geared toward improving the efficiency and accuracy of the primary deliverables. In addition, the role will provide business decision support.What you’ll do:Serve as a primary contact for support functions on process improvements, research, analysis, and reporting as neededPrepare weekly trading report, highlighting key insights and drivers related to marketing contract spendCollaborate with internal customers in Lodging and Commercial Strategy to support business case and spend requestsPartner with and provide analytical support to Sales leaders throughout sales target-settingDevelop and share best practices across the team to improve efficiency and help the team winBecome an integral part of the MeSo team and effectively communicate business performance across the organizationWho you are:BA/BS required; CPA or MBA preferred3+ years of work experience in a similar financial or analytical roleConsultative, data-driven approach towards business problems and process improvements, SQL background idealExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of managementWell organized with the ability to manage multiple projects within tight timelinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and a commitment to data integrityAdvanced Excel skills a must and working knowledge of VBA preferredExperience with Hyperion, Essbase, Salesforce, Looker preferredThe total cash range for this position in Seattle is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
