We are looking to add an energetic, experienced Social Media and Communications Specialist with 3+ years of experience to join our Washington D.C. team that will add to our culture and fully embrace our commitments to deliver, grow and thrive. You’ll manage several social media accounts for a government client to help them reach key audiences and find new collaboration partners. Whether you’re a Consultant or in Operations, you will work in meaningful ways to create results for the government.About the Role:You will provide social media management, writing and editing expertise, and meeting support to a Federal government client with a focus on homeland security and emerging technology. The role is an opportunity for you to join a consulting team that supports emergency response communications across the nation.Key Responsibilities include(but are not limited to):Writing, editing, and scheduling posts and other types of content for accounts across multiple social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTubeWorking closely with the client to obtain approval for all social media contentManaging a shared social media posting calendarReviewing social media platforms daily and identifying tactics to improve engagementDeveloping monthly social media and website metrics reports and providing guidance on lessons learnedWriting web content for internal and external audiencesTech editing materials such as one-pagers, PowerPoint presentations, and reportsAnalyzing website performance through Google AnalyticsProviding in-depth training and project management on how to succeed with social media to teams of writers, designers, and othersContributing to the firm’s business development and growth strategyCarry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and ThriveLocation:You will work as part of a dynamic team remotely, with limited in-person reporting to offices in the Washington, DC Metro area.Required Experience/Skills:Bachelor’s degree3+ years of professional social media and communications experienceStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong writing, editing, and proofreading skillsConfident verbal communicatorExperience working with Sprout Social or similar social media scheduling toolsExperience working with Google AnalyticsExperience with podcastingExperience using paid promotion to boost content on various social media platformsU.S. citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearancePreferred Experience/Skills:Experience hosting live broadcastsExperience working with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other graphic design toolsDon’t think you have everything for this role but are still very interested?
