SUMMARY:
The main function of a UX/UI Developer is to develop, create, and modify user interfaces through an understanding of end-user needs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engages with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers' business problem/goalsAnalyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraintsDesign, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of designAnalyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modificationsTypical Day in the Role:
Purpose of the Team: The purpose of the Azure AI platform team is to create tools and services that allows developers to integrate with AIKey Projects: This role will contribute towards an Azure AI studio projectTypical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of the following - 10% schedule review and communicating/ training with team what is needed; 30% meeting heavy team; working sessions; 50% heads down 10% overhead
QUALIFICATIONS:Skills:
Strong understanding and experience applying Human Centered design principles and best practicesPrevious experience designing web app design systems - both visual and UX systems - requiredPrevious experiences designing applications incorporating generative AI preferredPrevious experience working with front-end devs to create working code-based prototypes preferredKnowledge and application of accessibility UX best practices and principles preferredAbility to present design concepts and explain their uses and functionStrong writing, and communication skillsAbility to set priorities and meet deadlinesAttention to detail, high level of visual design polishCollaboration and independenceEducation/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required10+ years' experience required

Years of Experience Required: 5-10 overall years of experience in the fieldDegrees or certifications required: No degree is required to be eligible for this role. Preferred degree in Human Center (HC) designDisqualifiers: Candidates who prompt themselves as a political extremist (in either direction), anyone that has been flagged as not being able to play well with others will not be eligible for the roleBest vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain a Portfolio with impeccable finish, and esthetic designPerformance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, meeting deadlines, the ability to work independently, and proven problem-solving skillsTop 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience with UX/ UI experienceMinimum 7 years' experience with ability to solve complex problems in the benefit of the user / feature work experienceMinimum 3-5 years' experience with design at a system level; have been working on developing an app from front to back
