Red Thread PR is seeking a PR Account Supervisor to join our team. We are looking for an independent, self-starter who excels in PR strategy, execution and client management. They must have at least 7 years' experience in b2b PR with:

a passion for making complex topics simpleproven account and project management skillsconfident speaking presenceknack for writing for a variety of sophisticated b2b audiencesan impactful portfolio of national earned media headlinesexperience managing junior staff and leading accountsexperience developing internal and external communicationsexperience planning and executing paid/owned/earned/shared programsBonus points: experience in large scale brand partnerships/sponsorshipsBonus points: industry experience in real estate, banking, utilities, insurance and health techThis role will serve as a primary account leader for 1-2 accounts a secondary leader on up to 3 others. The Account Supervisor must have be adept at strategic communications, proactively identifying opportunities and solving challenges (and enjoying it!), and mentoring junior staff and above all, must be a dynamic communicator able to understand and convey nuanced subjects with confidence.

Role Responsibilities:

Client Stewardship

Manage and lead day-to-day responsibilities of 4-5 accountsProvide thoughtful, forward-thinking communications counsel to the client and account teamActively communicate with clients daily; proactively address opportunities and challengesParticipate and lead client calls with team as well as independently and directly with client teamProvide strategic input, analysis and feedback on client calls in addition to providing updatesSupervise junior staff's quality of workSupport internal account team to ensure understanding and expectations of client needsPlanning:

Develop strategic plans that reflect the client's goals and objectives and demonstrate modern tactics reflective of the brandDevelop strategic messaging for internal and external stakeholdersExecution:

Regularly audit clients' existing internal and external communications platforms and content; provide strategic recommendations to optimize content and channelsPartner with the client via regular calls and email communications to manage fast-moving projects and timelinesDevelop key strategic communications to serve as the foundation for ongoing execution including comprehensive message mapsCreate program strategies and activation plans, inclusive of objectives, messaging, messengers/SMEs, editorial calendar, tactical roadmap and timelinePartner with the client to measure impact of internal communications programsDeliver executional excellence across all PR tactics, including but not limited to: regional and national media relations, press event planning and management, community relations, content development, internal comms, message development, speaking engagements, public affairsManage budget and timelinesMentor junior staff; ensure that timelines and expectations are met and deliveredManage reporting and merchandising of client work, communicate results to clients regularlyKeep abreast of PR industry trends, best practices, new media and evolving technologies and tactics, and educating the account teamStay current and gain proficiency on new software platforms that impact the practice of PRStay current and add to personal understanding of issues, processes, terms, products, and regulations specific to client's industry. Master complex issues that impact client business and industryRequirements

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in public relations role - agency experience required!An undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, journalism or similar majorDemonstrated corporate communications expertiseDemonstrated expertise across:Media relationsWritingSponsorships and PartnershipsInternal and external communicationExperience planning and executing PESO communications plansExperience working on an integrated agency team is a plusExperience collaborating closely with client team is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and media monitoring tools such as MuckRack, Sprout, Brandwatch, MeltwaterSpecial Sauce We're Looking For:
