Job Summary

Department-Specific ResponsibilitiesDesigns and implements effective SEO strategies tailored to our brand and reputation goals.Conducts technical SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations.Implements E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) strategies across our web space.Optimizes website content, images, and other on-page elements.Performs keyword research to identify opportunities for content development.Implements structured data markup using Schema.org.Utilizes tools like SEMRush, Screamingfrog, Siteimprove, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics to track performance and make data-driven decisions.Applies Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to attract AI crawlers.Generates and presents detailed SEO performance reports to management.Collaborates with marketing and web development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all digital activities.Stays up to date with the latest SEO trends and search algorithm changes.General Responsibilities

Plans, analyzes, and develops marketing and creative strategies to promote Indiana University through digital channels and increase exposure to a target audience.Reviews and analyzes usage trends and effectiveness of digital marketing strategies, determine and implement changes as necessary.Consults with staff, faculty, colleagues, departments, and/or other stakeholders to determine high-level strategies for specific programs, goals, audiences, and objectives.Collaborates with marketing and web teams to identify a target market and create a marketing campaign for digital technologies.Responsible for alignment with university mission, strategies, objectives, and brand guidelines across all digital marketing platforms and content.Designs user experience interfaces to ensure consistent and engaging platforms.May plan and develops integrated digital advertising schedules.Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Information Systems, Informatics, or related fieldPreferred

Master's degree in related fieldWORK EXPERIENCE

Required

3 years in relevant fieldPreferred

Experience in SEO, with a focus on brand and reputation managementExperience with optimizing content for AI AssistantsExperience with AI tools like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Google GeminiSKILLS

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
