This role serves as the primary project manager (PM) for the Office of Communication; we're looking for someone who loves the excitement of planning as well as a dedication to details. The office needs someone who can map out the best deadline and help keep the team to it, and then help analyze the process and results. Our PM needs to be experienced in digital and face-to-face organization, handling a range of projects very large to tiny, and adept at, well, communication. Please be kind, funny, and willing to help shepherd project and people to the best conclusions.

Job Summary

Department-Specific ResponsibilitiesIdentifies, communicates, and helps resolve operational problems while minimizing delays.Manages online collaboration tools, and tracks task completion and delivery.Gathers and occasionally edits content for digital and print publication.Identifies, communicates, and helps resolve operational problems while minimizing delays.Manages small projects from start to finish or individual phases of a larger project through to completion within budgetary limits.General Responsibilities

Manages a small project, from start to finish, or one phase of a large project, ensuring on time completion within budget.Develops project plan(s) and efficiently analyzes, tracks, forecasts, and reports on project metrics and shortfalls.Reports on progress and provides regular updates to upper management.Coordinates and communicates between various areas; conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports.Collaborates with other departments to ensure that project objectives are achieved within established time frames.May provide guidance and support to non-exempt staff.Qualifications

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Additional Information

$47,000 - $52,000 per year.

This is an in-person position.
