The School of Public Health-Bloomington Marketing and Communications team is looking to fill the position of graphic designer.

Department Specific ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the creation and production of print materials, digital graphics/ads, brochures, social media designs, designed email needs, direct mail pieces, and much more.Assists with in-house photo and video needs such as capturing an event on film, photographing in-house events, or even the creation of social media graphics and reels.General Responsibilities

Identifies basic and complex graphic design projects and performs research, conceptualizes design, sets timeline, and designs visual elements for use in a variety of marketing and communications needs, adhering to IU brand guidelines.Regularly consults with marketing and communications staff and other key stakeholders to determine project needs and ensure graphic design elements align with strategy and objectives.Designs the layout and format for digital and print graphic design content, including selection of colors, images, fonts, logos, and placement, for various marketing and communications needs, audiences, and platforms; may delegate basic design tasks to Graphic Design Assistant(s).Creates images, graphic elements, illustrations, and other visual content using a variety of graphic software, including Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint; takes on special and/or urgent projects.Seeks input from peers and stakeholders on a variety of graphic design elements to evaluate effectiveness of different aesthetics, colors, fonts, images, etc.May provide organizational training on graphic design methodology and strategy.May provide guidance to Graphic Design Assistants.Qualifications

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
