The IU Bloomington Undergraduate Education Division reports to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and houses programs and initiatives in support of outstanding academic experiences for all IU Bloomington undergraduate students. The division provides academic advising, career coaching, student employment, placement testing, pre-college services, faculty instructional support, student tutoring, general education, and a variety of experiential learning opportunities.
Job Summary
The Communications and Marketing Manager leads a team that includes a full-time communications generalist and 3-5 undergraduate student employees. The Communications and Marketing team is 1 of 4 teams within Undergraduate Education IT and Communications and reports to the director of IT and Communications.
Department-Specific ResponsibilitiesServes as the division's primary resource on the IU Web Framework in Cascade CMS, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and IUs Email FrameworkWorks closely with the directors and staff of Undergraduate Education units as a partner on a variety of communications and marketing initiatives, including websites, social media, electronic and print communications, and promotional ideas.Provides leadership in the conceptualization and development of graphic images employee and content; designs communication and promotional concepts that deliver high quality consistent messaging with IU brand identity.Hires and supervises student interns; provides direction, distributes assignments relating to photography and design production, and ensures project expectations and deadlines are met.General Responsibilities
Monitors industry trends and best practices and makes process and operational and strategic recommendations to manager.
