Kforce has a client in Cincinnati, OH that is seeking a Product Designer to join their team on a 6-month contract to hire basis. A local to Cincinnati candidate will be preferred.

Summary:

This Product Designer will need to have competency with service design, service blueprinting, and overall, more service oriented. The current team has the required basic design experience and could potentially flex to the service side, but the manager is really wanting someone with experience and specialization in that area. We are looking for an experienced, service-minded designer to support our ongoing NGPOS (next-generation point of sale) product efforts. This designer should be a systems thinker and someone who can conduct research to inform experience strategy, visualize complex technical solutions, and envision the end-to-end journey for multiple audiences (frontend associates, customers, fuel center attendants, pharmacists) who will interact with the experience. This role will work closely with product managers, engineering counterparts, and other designers in the space. They will also collaborate with business partners in retail operations to learn more about the inner workings of our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop user journey maps, service blueprints, and other visualizations to document the current state and future vision for our point-of-sale ecosystem

* Identify user needs and pain points and work with stakeholders to prioritize and address them

* Plan and conduct user research, involving team members and stakeholders in the process, to better understand our end-users and their problems; Visiting company stores to interact with users face-to-face is a significant benefit * Lead collaborative efforts and facilitate sessions (using different workshopping frameworks) with stakeholders to align on a shared vision
