Role Summary:

The Creative Director is responsible for the overarching brand, tone, and "voice" of Bridgetown Church both internally and externally. Also, the distribution of and communication about content that is produced from various teams and departments across the church is the responsibility of this leader. This role will develop communication strategies as well as lead the way with creative elements that support a wide range of activities of the church. This includes but is not limited to: email, social media, podcasts, event promotion, website design and ux, video production, as well weekly church gatherings. In addition, this position will oversee other creative and communications-focused staff and volunteers.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Help shape and maintain Bridgetown's brand and communications tone and voiceOversee creation of design assets for various departments of the churchManage and ensure an engaging and excellent online presence: website, social media, podcastsProduce content that furthers the mission and vision of Bridgetown Church, while also reviewing and offering feedback on others' contentDirect the creative & communications staff team, volunteers, and external contractorsProduce excellent messaging through strong writing, editing, and storytelling, in clear and compelling waysMeasure and report on engagement, growth, and effectiveness of communication across all online platforms and channelsKeep up with ever evolving trends and tools in the content and digital media spaceDirect video production projects that communicate the heart and mission of the church, through volunteers, staff & contractorsBuild a successful team of volunteers and contractors to further extend the efforts and impact of the Creative & Communications teamOversee and steward Creative & Communications budget under the leadership of the Executive DirectorMinimum Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Living within character qualifications of 1 Timothy 3v1-13Attempting to Follow Bridgetown's Rule of LifeGraphic and/or product design talent, skills, and passion5+ years of relevant experience in a similar roleExperience successfully managing and developing staff members and volunteersExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including copywriting and editorial competenciesKnowledgeable and highly skilled in using creative software and tools, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere/Final Cut and After EffectsComfortable with database, content management, and communication tools such as Planning Center, Mailchimp, Resi, and social media channelsVision driven and action orientated - an inherent desire to achieve exceptional resultsSelf-starter who is well organized and proactiveGifting and experience as a film producer, managing budget, script and other details of video shootsExperience with project management and managing a high volume of varying projects from idea to implementationBonus Points:

Bachelor's degree in design, communications or relevant fieldStrong focus on serving/pastoring people who engage on communication platformsFamiliarity with SquarespaceExperience with interior/set design and/or physical art and aestheticsFamiliar with web design and site management, including an understanding of HTML/CSS and JavascriptGeneral Staff Expectations:

Physical Requirements:

Sit frequently

Stand occasionally, punctuated by opportunity to sit at short, varying intervals

Sensory/Vision: Must be able to read and write well

Speech/Language: Must have strong command of the English language and be able to be clearly understood when speaking
