Experience Design Lead

Subvrsive is an immersive innovation studio on a mission to build the best digital branded experiences for our partners. Founded in 2015 with deep roots in virtual and augmented reality, we've earned a reputation for innovatively and effectively applying new technologies in ways that disrupt the status quo. While the past few months have seen an uptick of metaverse talk, we've been walking the walk for six years running. Metaverse is what we do, and all we've done since 2015.

The Experience Design Lead (UX/UI Focus) is responsible for developing and implementing UX/UI design strategies, leading and mentoring the UX/UI design team, overseeing the design process from concept to execution, conducting user research and usability testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing workflows, ensuring brand alignment, and tracking performance metrics. This role is crucial in creating engaging and user-centered design solutions that meet the goals and objectives of the studio and its clients.

Role & Responsibility

Strategic Leadership

Design Strategy: Develop and implement the UX/UI design strategy for projects, ensuring alignment with the overall creative vision and goals of the studio.Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the UX/UI team, encouraging the exploration of new design trends, technologies, and methodologies.Project Direction

Project Oversight: Lead the UX/UI design efforts across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality and user-centered design outcomes.Concept Development: Oversee the conceptualization and design phases, ensuring that user experience and interface design are integrated from the outset.UX/UI Project Team Management and Development

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of UX/UI designers per project, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.Design Execution

Design Reviews: Conduct regular design reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure that all deliverables meet high standards of quality and usability.Hands-On Design: Participate in hands-on design work, including creating wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs when necessary.User Research and Testing

User Research: Oversee user research activities, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions.Usability Testing: Ensure that usability testing is conducted on designs, iterating based on feedback to improve user experience.Collaboration and Communication

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Technical Directors, and other team leads to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions.Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs and objectives, translating these into effective UX/UI design solutions.Process Improvement

Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement processes and workflows that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the UX/UI design team.Tools and Resources: Identify and implement the best tools and resources for UX/UI design, ensuring the team has what they need to succeed.Brand and Marketing Integration

Brand Alignment: Ensure that all UX/UI designs are consistent with the studio's brand identity and guidelines.Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that UX/UI designs support and enhance marketing initiatives.Performance Metrics and Reporting

KPI Tracking: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for UX/UI design projects when necessary to measure success and identify areas for improvement.Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the UX Principal and other senior leadership on the status, progress, and performance of UX/UI design projects.If hired, you can:
