BL has 17offices and is expanding.Our employee owners are capable of being successful working in hybrid environments, and we are now offering opportunities to continue in this setting.CAD Designer – Piping Designer: Operates CAD systems and produces clear and technically accurate drawings based on design specifications. Responsibilities include; production of basic to complex levels of mechanical design for natural gas piping for both transmission and distribution systems. Fluency in AutoCad and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Experience with Cadworx Plant desired, but may provide training to the right individual.Responsibilities Include:Develop 2D and 3D piping designs uses computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCad, Cadworx Plant) equipment and softwareCreate and revise permitting and construction drawings and details (schematics, site layouts, orthographic plan and section views, and bill of materials)Draw finished designs from sketches and concepts under the direction of the EngineerUpdate standard details and templatesMaintain an organized file system for production drawings.Required Experience:Strong knowledge of piping designFamiliarity of transmission and distribution systems in the natural gas industryAssociates Degree or Certificate of Completion in Drafting and Designor proof of completionof formal Autocad trainingExcellent written and oral communication1-5 Yearsor more ofexperience in a professional office environment creating Autocad production drawings for mechanical disciplinesPreferred Qualifications:Piping ExperienceCadworx Experience
