Esko is seeking an Application Engineer for Structural Design, based in North America

As an application engineer, you are the customer’s expert for starting and developing Esko solutions further! A customer’s advocate internally and an Esko advocate externally, you stand by our customers in their training needs, ensuring an effortless onboarding software experience. You will be involved in installing, configuring, and training customers on Esko software, ensuring they can use it efficiently.

Your role involves preparing every job in detail, either working remotely or traveling to customer sites. After a quick alignment with the customer's IT department, you will install the software and then train the users, developing configurations and workflows tailored to their needs. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to train and educate customers effectively.

Owning the project on behalf of the customer is so important to you, as you are the face and voice of the customer within Esko. You’ll also love to learn because this industry doesn’t stand still, so plugging into the latest trends and mastering the newest technologies are just as important.

Critical Success Factors for the Ideal Candidate Profile are:

Good communicator with the ability to present and teach.

Flexible in travel and finding solutions (up to an average of 25% of traveling within the NA region, depending on customer’s needs. Occasionally traveling outside of your region e.g. to receive training)

Empathy for other people (customers, colleagues, and suppliers!)

Proactive to the problem at hand, as well as challenging how we eliminate problems in the future!

Excellent listening skills and ability to interpret customer needs and manage customer expectations.

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

Experience in problem-solving, and a quick learner and IT competency.

Analytical mindset, with a calm, methodical approach to problem-solving.

Direct experience handling complex technical issues with customers and/or suppliers.

EITHER 2+ years of experience in structural design for packaging and/or Esko software (ArtiosCAD, WebCenter)

AND/OR Formal qualification in structural design (also in similar businesses)

Customer-facing skills.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
