Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of the Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick, the Assistant Director of Event Planning will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, budgeting and executing a wide range of strategic events, including conferences, symposiums, seminars, program launches, dinners, graduations, and convocations for all the departments and units under the Rutgers Business School, and its corporate partners and affiliates for domestic, international, on campus and off-campus programs. This position will work closely with our department chairs and directors, corporate sponsors, and their representatives to ensure that each event/program launches seamlessly, aligns with the brand, and is delivered with the utmost quality, creativity, and impact, exceeding all expectations. The incumbent will be required to collaborate with Events and Conference Services on any joint initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with Newark campus initiatives, organizational priorities, and strategic objectives.

This position is responsible for and not limited to the following.• Leads the charge on all areas of this programming, including coordination, development, and implementation of a variety of programs, resources, events, and services• Demonstrates expertise in building and maintaining volunteer-driven groups, alumni career services, and studentengagement within a team setting• Leads staff members in developing and maintaining RBS student, faculty, staff, and alumni-focused initiatives• Researches a comprehensive RBS engagement program and identifies best practices and metrics for the role• Manages overall operation, management/administration, and assessment of RBS eventsPosition StatusPosition Status Full TimeDaily Work ShiftWork ArrangementConsistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
