Power FC are looking for an experienced social media and digital professional to help elevate the club’s brand online and support fan development. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for building an effective social media strategy for both existing and emerging platforms, along with ensuring the club’s digital properties (website and app) align with Power FC’s primary objectives and initiatives throughout the year. This position will work closely alongside Marketing, Community Relations, Brand Engagement, Ticketing, and Events.

All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.Interested candidates should submit a resumé and a link to an online portfolio (if available) or any examples of digital work.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads the social content ideation, creation, and copywriting on all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube)Develop strategies to drive fan engagement and build community, engaging and interacting with followersDrive engagement across all social platforms to help drive audience growth.Track content performance, discover, and implement actionable insightsAbility to do small graphic design projects for socialHave an eye on and develop the strategy for expanding onto newer social platforms - increasing reach and fan interaction with the brandEngage with followers, respond to comments & messages, and foster a positive & interactive community utilizing the “club” brand voiceResearch trends and topics in the sports and entertainment industry to create content that fits within our strategy and offer recommendations.Supports the marketing and communications team with campaign ideations and execution, website content migration, and creative asset management platform content categorizing.REQUIREMENTS:3+ years’ experience in similar field of workBachelor’s degree in related field, preferably marketing or communicationsManagerial experience within a social media departmentDemonstrated understanding of social media platforms, their unique audiences and how to use them to maximize branding and marketing effortsIn-depth knowledge of branded content and digital mediaAbility and understanding of paid social media campaignsMust demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressureMust display organization and communicative skillsMust be able to easily switch between projects comfortably and quicklyMust possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectivesMust have a strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligenceMust be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive informationMust be self-directed and able to work independentlyMust have strong communication skills: must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written)Must be able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutionsPower FC is committed to uplifting our community, staff, and club.
