Each Product Manager will specialize in a particular segment of the shopper journey. One of the two available opportunities is on the Browse and Discovery team. You will be responsible for mapping out the capabilities of product category and detail pages. You need strong cross-functional leadership skills, to be extremely data-driven and have a strong point of view on UX, taxonomy, and information architecture. You’ll work cross-functionally to gain enthusiasm for your UX vision of the user browse and discovery process. The other role owns the credit-card-handling end of the shopper’s pathway. You aren’t simply tweaking something that already exists; you’re taking on a critical part of the bottom-of-the-funnel experience that has profound impacts both on the shopper’s confidence in the transaction and on the company’s bottom line. You don’t have to have owned the credit-card process at another organization, but you do need to have guided the end-to-end execution of a major initiative with a customer focus. You’re technically savvy, you can lead people and product, and you’re innately data-driven.Why You?How you’ll know if you’re a fit…For both of these roles, we’re looking for at least 6 years working as a product manager. We’re not looking for specific industries or kinds of organizations: we’d love to find new and different viewpoints, as long as you’ve got a track record of working on hard problems and managing cross-functional teams with clear, flawless communication. Maybe your career path to product management came through UX design, but regardless, you approach product management with a definite UX-centric lens and a laser-like focus on the customer. You thrive on complexity and a certain degree of creative chaos. But despite your creative flair, solid instincts, and problem-solving acumen, you know that the best decisions are driven by hard data, and you know how to get it and use it.The Inside SkinnyWhy you should quit your job right now and join this organization! You’ve always felt a little betwixt-and-between at other organizations, because you didn’t fall squarely into either product management or user experience. All you know is that you want to build sophisticated but seamless journeys that will delight customers. Here’s your chance to be free of Silo-World!The Hired Guns does not and will not discriminate in considering and referring candidates for employment, or in its treatment or advancement of its employees, and will not tolerate harassment, on the basis of race, color, religion, gender (including gender identity and expression), sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
