Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced, service-minded designer to support our ongoing NGPOS (next-generation point of sale) product efforts. This designer should be a systems thinker and someone who can conduct research to inform experience strategy, visualize complex technical solutions, and envision the end-to-end journey for multiple audiences (frontend associates, customers, fuel center attendants, pharmacists) who will interact with the experience.
This role will work closely with product managers, engineering counterparts, and other designers In the space. They'll also collaborate with business partners in retail operations to learn more about the inner workings of our stores.
An ideal candidate should
Have a bias for action, feeling empowered to trust instincts and to make decisions that are grounded in data - both qualitative and quantitativeHave a passion for process designQuickly understand the unique challenges our associates and customers face with in-store checkout and document findings for visibilityPosses the ability to confidently facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions
Build relationships across Kroger, acting as a catalyst for collaboration
Nice to haves
Experience or familiarity working with payment systemsTechnical knowledgeExperience with analytics and UX success metrics
In proximity to a Kroger store or one of its banners, to get firsthand experience in the field
