As a Product/Industrial Designer, you will become quickly immersed in our culture to become an immediate contributor to the creative process. You will work on various projects ranging from formed bakeware to seasonal castings to cookware, injection molded plastic and more. You will work in a fast paced, collaborative, and creative environment which routinely tackles the challenges of aesthetic and functional kitchenware.
What you will get to do:
Under the supervision of the Design Manager, assist in the ideation / development of product designs, provide sketches, renderings, 2D drawings, 3D data files, presentation images for Marketing & Sales support.
Deliver technical drawings and concept files using SolidWorks and advanced rendering software to clearly communicate the design intent, satisfying customer, consumer, brand integrity and technical requirements for new & existing cast aluminum, formed metals & plastic parts.
Act as the support design resource for internal partners to define and execute design projects for new and existing products.
Provide timely and effective projects, presentations, and communications to all levels of management.
Create functional testing prototypes and sketch models and more refined prototypes to share with sales team and retail partners.
Be an engaged team member on cross-functional new product development initiatives. Get excited about new ideas and work hard to deliver them.
Assist in communicating, preparing presentation materials, drawings or samples.
Interact & develop relationships with the creative team, tooling, molding and working closely with marketing & sales teams.
What you'll bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent
3-6 months of relevant experience in product design required 3+ years preferred
1+ years' experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software required
1+ years experience with Adobe Creative Suite required
1+ years' experience with Keyshot or other related rendering software preferred
Basic understanding of the manufacturing capabilities and limitations of die casting, metal forming, and injection molding processes
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate, problem solve and adopt recommended changes to designs throughout product development process
Good organizational skills and an attention to detail
Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) preferred Experience using slicing software for 3D printing
Ability to troubleshoot printer issues
Ability to create professional samples and prototypes for Sales Team and customers
Strong grasp of form development and visual composition
