Our marketing team relies on customer intelligence and tools to make better and smarter decisions every day. That's where you come in. You'll drive improvements in our decisioning engine approaches through logic and technology so we can continue to advance the success of customer value. People will look to you to provide the solution and functionality roadmap to assist all customer systems of engagement to even better customer solutions. Because here, better matters.Verizon's Business Group, Marketing Sciences (VBG) team is evolving and maturing its offer and action decisioning capabilities to the next level of intelligence and sophistication. This group is responsible for the delivery and operations of Verizon's Pega platform for loyalty and growth interactions in all channels, including Customer Care, Point-of-Sale, Sales and Digital.The VBG decisioning team leverages artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cross-channel implementation to present the right offer or action, to the right customer, at the right time, with the right governance. This results in incremental value to the business, including churn reduction and revenue generation as well as an improved customer experience, loyalty, and satisfaction.The Project Manager will manage large scale projects for the Marketing Operations - Decisioning team, specifically delivering decisioned offers and actions within the customer and sales experience to reduce manual work for the team. This includes working with the delivery teams to gather requirements, develop project plans, and implement any new functionality that would need to be supported.Responsibilities include:Leading the implementation, planning and development of decisioned recommendations and selling flows for the VBG Decisioning team.Managing projects for the implementation of new decisioning functionality and the impact to offer operations.Initiating milestones and timelines.Aligning people and a willingness to take action and follow through.Writing user stories.Developing comprehensive views that summarize activities for executive, marketing and technical leads.Producing high quality deliverables in a timely fashion.Performing technical evaluation of products.Developing systems-related standards and procedures.Performing program management/Scrum Master activities such as chartering, road mapping, user story grooming, iteration planning and retrospectives as well as implementation activities.Analyzing and proactively managing problems and making decisions that impact overall system(s) and program(s) while acting independently.Evaluating, developing and implementing systems solutions to effectively fulfill business requirements.Working as a team member and providing technical leadership and/or business-related subject matter expertise on programs of varying complexity.Ensuring systems implementations occur in accordance with established Change Control procedures.Proactively communicate status reports and issues to manager.What We're Looking For...You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.Four or more years of relevant work experience.Experience with Pega Decisioning Platform.Knowledge and experience of project management concepts.Experience employing best practices for agile methodology utilizing both the Scrum, while operating within the department's overall SDLC Framework.Experience with working collaboratively with a team of senior project managers and the program manager to give input around and support the strategic direction of the initiative as a whole.Experience leading agile development projects as an RTE, Scrum Master and Team Member.SCRUM Master Certification.Experience with JIRA and Confluence.Even better if you have one or more of the following:Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.Strong decision-making and leadership abilities.Excellent Technical (e.g., systems design) and/or analytical skills.Excellent business knowledge and interpersonal skills.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.Where you'll be working
