We're focused on making template authoring no code automation solution accessible to all Docusign customers and our scope continues to grow and evolve.We are looking for a Backend Engineer with the knowledge and skills to deliver highly scalable web solutions to our customers. The ideal candidate will have worked on large-scale SaaS projects and is highly skilled in designing and implementing backend services that deliver functionality to different mobile and web form factors and clients. Your role will have the opportunity to lead projects and work collaboratively with our product management teams.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager.ResponsibilityDesign and develop Microservices that continue our commitment to putting world class SaaS solutions into the hands of our customersWork across multiple teams to deliver solutions that can be leveraged throughout the organizationWork with Product Management and other developers to understand and translate product requirements into engineering requirements and development estimatesBe data focused, everything we do is measured and used to ensure 5-9’s availability and that we are solving the right problemsParticipate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologiesGuide and mentor other engineers through design and code reviewsWhat you bring
Basic8+ years software engineering experience in a SaaS organization focused on building backend5+ years experience building resilient platforms, software as a service, architecture and integrationExperience documenting architectural standards and decisionsProfessional experience with client-side frameworksExperience building REST APIs or shared JavaScript librariesB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experiencesPreferredExperience Backend Development Experience with C#Experience with telemetry softwareExperience with Git, continuous integration and deployment toolsExperience working in an agile development environmentDemonstrate a strong focus on instrumenting features being developed to gain insights into usage patterns and feature successDrive strategic code sharing and architecture for one or more functional areaWage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $151,800.00 - $245,150.00 base salaryIllinois and Colorado: $145,800.00 - $205,950.00 base salaryWashington and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800.00 - $214,350.00 base salaryWashington DC: $151,800.00 - $214,350.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.States Not Eligible for Employment This position is not eligible for employment in the following states: Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.Equal Opportunity Employer It's important to us that we build a talented team that is as diverse as our customers and where all employees feel a deep sense of belonging and thrive.
