Job Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the graphic design process from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and work is delegated effectively among team members. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of print strikeoffs, prototypes and final designs before production.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:With direction from Creative Director, work with graphic design team to create original graphics that appropriately reflect the company's design philosophy & standardsCollaborate with Sr. Graphic Designer, marketing team, and other stakeholders to translate mood, inspiration and project briefs into creative, sellable designs, and also adhering to planned guidelines and parametersDelegate tasks and set clear deadlines for team members based on project requirements and prioritiesReview and approve print strikeoffs, prototypes and final designs for accuracy and qualityWork collectively with graphic team to cross-check accuracy prior to handoffsConducts follow up of design process to include tracking of tech packs, sample requests, Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) processes, communications with factories, etc.Reviews samples and clearly communicates comments, changes or approvals to ensure timely completion of each projectPartner with cross-functional team members to ensure the integrity of designs is maintained during the product development processMeet all deliverable and timeline requirements according to business strategy and design calendarMentor junior members of the teamKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Exceptional skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesignCAD skills for technical and construction detailed sketches using Adobe IllustratorWorking knowledge of screen printing processAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate and work well with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional mannerMust have great follow up skills via -e-mail, phone, and/or other methods of communicationMeticulous and detail-orientedProficient organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at onceOutstanding time management skills: working to a deadline, working independentlyStrong interpersonal skills, collaborative team playerEager to grow and take on new responsibilitiesHappy to embrace change and new challenges as marketplace shifts and consumer needs evolveSeparations proficiency preferredExperience working with licensed graphics a plusEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, design, or related field preferred or equivalent related work experience5+ years' experience of graphic design experience is required
