Job Title: Social Media Coordinator

Location: Pompano Beach, FL (this is not a remote position)

Department: Communications

Reports to: VP of Communications

Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Media Coordinator to join our faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to sharing God's Word with children and youth worldwide. The ideal candidate will create compelling social media content, develop advocacy and fundraising campaigns, and implement strategies to enhance engagement and grow our online community.

Key Responsibilities:

Faith and Attitude:

Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Display a courteous, Christ-like attitude when interacting with others inside and outside the organization.

Uphold the OneHope ministry in prayer.

Participate in partner care through the ministry’s Culture of Engagement initiative.

Collaboration:

Work with team members to design and implement strategies to achieve various Communications goals.

Ensure the objectives and outcomes of the Communications team are aligned with personal objectives.

Content Creation:

Develop creative and impactful social media content, including captions, visuals, graphics, and reels that effectively communicate the organization's mission and values.

Craft engaging stories that resonate with our target audience and highlight the impact of our programs on children and youth.

Advocacy and Fundraising:

Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and execute advocacy and fundraising content across various social media accounts.

Create content that encourages user participation, donations, and support for the organization's initiatives.

Promote the work in the field and programs or products created by the organization and its partners.

Social Media Strategy:

Develop and implement social media strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to ensure our organization remains relevant and competitive.

Engagement and Community Management:

Monitor and engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and respectful manner.

Foster meaningful interactions among followers, creating a positive and supportive online environment.

Follower Growth:

Develop strategies for increasing our follower base across platforms.

Implement techniques such as hashtag campaigns, collaborations, influencer partnerships, and contests to attract new followers.

Analytics and Reporting:

Monitor key performance metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns and content.

Provide regular reports on engagement, follower growth, and campaign success to guide future strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the non-profit or faith-based sector.

Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative flair for storytelling.

Proficiency in graphic design tools and experience with Canva and reel creation.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take ownership of projects.

Passion for the organization's mission and a deep understanding of its values.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Highly adaptable and collaborative with strategists, designers, and project managers.

Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects with short deadlines.

Cross-culturally sensitive.

Creative and detail-oriented.

Fluency with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Microsoft Teams, Asana

, and other relevant platforms.

Knowledge or proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) is a plus.

Work Environment:

Monday – Friday during business hours (9 AM-5 PM).

Some flexibility may be required to accommodate international teams in different time zones.

Travel may be necessary, both domestically and internationally.
