Summary:The Information Technology Technical Associate (ITTA) reports to the Director of the Office of Web & Digital Strategy and performs intermediate-level web-related activities. This includes managing Content Management System (CMS) operations for optimal website functionality, ensuring web accessibility in compliance with WCAG guidelines, and leading web/app design projects to enhance user experience and cross-team coordination.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Design: Creates websites and applications using UI/UX best practices, including layout, color schemes, typography, and overall design aesthetic. Additionally, this includes developing personas, wireframes, mockups, and flowcharts. Designs and creates other visual media and digital assets.Accessibility: Develops and modifies websites to ensure they are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This involves adhering to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and Title II compliance.Coding & Development: Writes code proficiently in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Git, Sass/Less and other related frameworks and languages used to create dynamic and interactive web experiences.Analytics & Reporting: Assists with curating and generating campus reports, using tools like business intelligence software, and integrating and maintaining necessary data sources.Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Content Management: Implements fundamental SEO principles to enhance the website's visibility in search engine results, coupled with involvement in content layout. Responsibilities include strategically placing text, images, and other media to optimize both search engine rankings and the user's experience on the website.Testing and Troubleshooting: Tests websites and applications across different browsers and devices for functionality and fixes any issues that arise.Advanced Technical Support: Provides high-level technical assistance to university staff in maintaining and troubleshooting unit websites and other applications and digital media.Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:1. High school diploma or equivalent.2. Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories:A. College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)- Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)- Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)2. Work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 3-4 years of experience and strong working knowledge of web design and development, HTML, CSS, DrupalWeb development experience within a large organizationExperience working in customer service capacity and in team environment

A design portfolio link will be requested as part of theinterview process. The web design portfolio must include design samplesand demonstrate knowledge in design and UI/UX best practices.
