Reporting to a Senior Account Supervisor, Director or VP, the Account Supervisor will provide ongoing support and leadership for client accounts and will maintain a highly responsive service orientation in all interactions. They must be knowledgeable in both the clients' and agency's business. This individual is a team player who communicates clearly with internal teams and is well-versed in a broad range of communications tactics including, video, PR, crisis communications, internal communications, advertising, digital media and more. The Account Supervisor will also be responsible for overall budget and project management for accounts, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and ROI.AccountabilitiesBefore applying, make sure this is the right seat for you. At Kane, the Account Supervisor is accountable for:Account strategy, writing and researchWrite and present detailed, well-researched integrated communications, PR and marketing plans to agency teams and clientsPerform research and analysis using the Kane Way processLink communications, PR, branding and marketing to broader business objectives, and ensure plans are designed to achieve measurable outcomes for clientsProject scoping and executionGather information from the client and work with internal and external partners to develop proposals or briefs for new client projects or scopes of workThis may include working directly with digital or research partners to obtain proposals and estimatesOversee the implementation of approved plans and strategiesWork with the account team to implement research and communications plansWork with the creative team to develop brand, marketing and creative strategiesCollaborate with all team members (including contractors, when applicable), providing relevant inputEnsure scopes of work are executed, pitching in as needed to write content, pitch media and take on other day-to-day tasksBudget managementEnsure that all projects remain within the budgets and/or scopes of workRecommend appropriate budgets to clientsProvide regular updates of account progress and budget requirements for all assigned clientsApprove and manage quotes, estimates and invoices to ensure budget requirements are met and profitability maintainedAnticipate and communicate any potential budget issues Client relationship managementForm relationships with senior client personnel, with a focus on providing superior and proactive customer serviceEnsure client relations are positive and stable and keep senior management informed of any potential challengesAccount retention, growth and projectionsProvide exceptional service to clients, promptly responding to needs, requests and changes in directionStay abreast of communications, PR, marketing and branding best practices as well as clients' industries in order to bring forth new ideasSet annual growth and retention goals for each account and, working with a direct supervisor, develop plans to achieve these goalsProvide supervisor with monthly financial projections for clients, which will aid in staff bandwidth planningLeading, managing and holding accountableCreate a vision that motivates and inspires direct reports, providing direction on how they can excel while continuing to improve skills and grow at KaneHold team members accountable for executing high-quality work recognizing and providing timely constructive feedbackQualificationsRequired experience and core competencies for this position include:A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in marketing, communications and/or PR-related fieldsA minimum of three years of experience working in an agency environment managing client accounts as the day-to-day point of contact and balancing work from multiple clients at one timeExperience consulting directly with the C-suite, recommending PR, communications, integrated branding and marketing strategies that address reputation and brand challengesPrefer experience pitching media with existing media contacts/relationshipsDemonstrated ability to delegate tactical assignments and accurately assess and edit work of othersAble to produce examples of strategic, integrated, branding, marketing and PR plans and/or findings reports with strategic recommendations made clientsPassion for social and narrative change campaigns, corporate communications and the integration of brand research and digital marketing into communications and PR workStrong people skills with experience managing entry-level staffBenefitsKane is continuously adding to and strengthening benefits year over year.
